CampsVirginia ReelNew Hampshire Folk and Barn DancesSquare Dances
These are the kinds of dances that we do with children and adults of all ages and abilities around New England.
No experience needed We both play our fiddles and call the dances, and, provide a drumming rhythm with our feet.
Children pick partners and usually dance three to four dances together. Counselors and staff are asked to join in.
The entire dance usually lasts about an hour. We work with groups of about 50 kids at a time. This ensures a more recreationally sound and enjoyable evening. At large camps you could facilitate this by:
It is nice if refreshments are served at the end.
We prefer to have the dances inside such as the dining hall or the recreation hall. If an outside area is used there would be an additional charge because it is much harder to run a dance outside.
Some camps have had us play for pre-season or end-of-season dances for the counselors and staff. During the off season camp directors often refer us to other groups who rent the facilities. Please keep us in mind for these.
FEES: Our fees for camp programs vary depending on size of groups and distance to travel.
