A summer string camp for

String Instrumental Musicians Grades 6-9

 

      Sunday, June 26th – Friday, July 1st, 2005     

 

An exciting new string camp offering daily

recreation and evening events and instruction in

* large and small chamber ensemble *

* solo technique * fiddling * music theory *

This camp is coordinated and staffed by members of the CT-ASTA Executive Board

and other Connecticut string teachers.

 

Facility hosted by the CCSU Music Department

 

This exciting new camp for Middle School String musicians features a professional, experienced faculty committed to working with students in all areas of string performance

 

The daily schedule includes organized recreational activities and private practice time scheduled into the day. Evening activities will include faculty performances, movies, skits and talent show nite, t-shirt decorating, a barn dance and a final concert and family barbecue.

 

Campers are encouraged to choose the Overnight Residential Plan, which includes lodging and all meals from Tuesday lunch through the Friday barbecue for campers and their parents. The cost for this plan is $600.00.

 

A limited number of Commuter Campers will be accepted. Commuter Camp hours will be 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. with lunch and the Friday barbecue for campers and their parents. The cost for this plan is $400.00.

Limited scholarship are available for those with financial need.
